The Reference Alpha's innovative technologies and high-quality materials make it another milestone. The BCT cones used for the first time in the Reference series can also be found in the new Reference Alpha. The new midrange system has been coated with an additional diamond coating. This gives the chassis even more rigidity and precision - for a neutral, dynamic and lifelike sound. This is complemented by the Wave surround 3.0 technology, which, thanks to its three surround bends, guarantees even vibration and symmetrical power distribution even at high volumes. The perfectly matched components ensure controlled performance and maximum sound quality.

Sound quality starts with the enclosure
The Reference Alpha 2 impresses with a majestic design language that combines elegance and power. As the measure of all things, it combines grace and design in an impressive way. Its over 140 cm high silhouette radiates presence, while the interplay of flawless lacquer and walnut wood creates a timeless, elegant design. Despite their imposing dimensions, the speakers appear light and graceful thanks to their sleek lines and harmonious proportions. The handcrafted finish reflects the highest level of precision, and every detail - from the surface finish to the curved front shape - underlines the demand for perfection. The Reference Alpha are acoustic and visual masterpieces that are made to last.

Harmony of design and wood craftsmanship
The elegant, curved design of the Reference Alpha combines aesthetics and function. The curved side panels, made of multi-layered wood, offer exceptional stability and exceptional stability and minimize resonance. Refined with the high-quality mix of materials, they blend harmoniously into the overall concept. The acoustically optimized curves prevent edge reflections and give the speaker its impressive its imposing yet timeless appearance.

Elaborate internal reinforcement
The Reference Alpha impresses with an enclosure that perfectly combines sound and design. In order to control the enormous forces inside the Reference Alpha loudspeakers, the internal construction has been enormously reinforced by a special cabinet design. The careful selection of the front shape, additional anti-parallel reflector units with precisely defined damping made of special fleece, prevents standing waves inside the cabinet. .

Diamond midrange system
A special highlight is the extremely elaborate diamond coating of the ultra-modern midrange system. It ensures maximum stability and reduces sound coloration. Voices and instruments are reproduced with the utmost precision and naturalness. Technically, the midrange system is based on the innovative BCT cones, which impress with their unique material composition. The basis is provided by an aluminum cone, 25% of which is converted into ceramic, reinforced with tungsten particles and coated with an additional layer of diamonds. The new midrange system also has a triple-curved cone that ensures optimum rigidity. The ultra-light, phase-optimized “point source” inverse dome tweeter used for the first time enables particularly precise sound dispersion and an outstanding spatial representation of the sound image.
Diamond tweeter system
The Reference Alpha series tweeter system impresses with its DCC dome tweeter, which has a special diamond coating. This ensures exceptional rigidity and optimizes the vibration behaviour. In combination with the asymmetrical waveguide and the new computer-simulated grille design, the dispersion characteristics are optimized, especially in the crossover and high frequency range above 15,000 Hz. The result: crystal-clear highs, in which the finest details and nuances of the music become audible.

1. Magnet: By specifically optimizing the power and structure of the magnetic drive with a pole core bore, the coil (2) is embedded in a balanced inductive field.
3. Centering Spider: An optimized centering spider with a precisely defined number of folds forms the connection between the voice coil carrier and the basket.
4. Speaker Basket: Glass fiber-reinforced polycarbonate baskets combine remarkable lightness with high stability, making them an optimal choice for a wide range of applications.
5. TCC Cone Membrane: The midrange systems of the new Reference Alpha use shape-optimized diaphragms with three different radii.
6. Wave Surround: The suspension of the moving system, designed as a wave surround, enables enormous excursion movements and precisely controls the transient response.
7. Dust Cap: The dust cap seals the moving system and optimally dissipates the heat generated by the coil.
8. Cover Ring: The amorphously shaped front ring made of low-resonance POM material serves as an asymmetric waveguide and additionally increases the mechanical stability of the moving system.

Optimized down to the last component

Room Compensation
Thanks to innovative room compensation technology with integrated tweeter, midrange and bass adjustments, the levels of the new Reference Alpha can be adapted to the room acoustics and individual listening tastes. This function allows the sound pressure levels of the mid-range and tweeters to be finely adjusted in 1.5 decibel increments. In addition, the bass range can be adjusted in 1.5 decibel steps to adapt the speakers to the room acoustics and to suit personal sound preferences. For an all-round harmonious look, the connection panels are painted in the same stylish colors as the speaker enclosures.
Optimum signal separation
The crossovers of the Reference Alpha are equipped with high-precision, high-end components from Mundorf, which ensure precise signal distribution and optimum sound quality. Thanks to Displacement Control Technology, uncontrolled excursion of the woofers is avoided, effectively minimizing distortion and making optimum use of the bandwidth. Even at high volumes, the reproduction remains precise and detailed, with powerful, controlled bass and clearly defined highs. As the central control unit of the speaker system, the high-quality crossovers ensure perfect coordination between the drivers, resulting in a harmonious and balanced sound performance that reproduces every musical detail authentically and naturally.

High-end internal cabling
The carefully thought-out cable routes inside the enclosures have been reduced to an absolute minimum to ensure the most efficient signal transmission possible. Only the CantoLink 600 K cables specially manufactured for Canton by the renowned German manufacturer in-akustik are used. These are characterized by their high-quality construction, which includes a special core and six precisely twisted individual conductors. This high-end construction ensures optimum sound transmission - from the connection terminal to the chassis, so that sound nuances can be reproduced without distortion.

From copper to diamond: sound in every facet
Form, function and performance

The solid wooden cabinet with its elegant real wood veneer not only offers stability, but also an uncompromising design. The interplay of the powerful and high-quality Reference Alpha components results in precise, detailed sound that meets even the highest demands.

The technology enables the sound
The sophisticated internal construction of the Reference Alpha prevents unwanted resonances. Special damping materials and precise and elaborate internal chambers reduce unwanted vibrations and give the sound a warm, clear note. The crossover ensures precise signal distribution, allowing all components to interact harmoniously and creating an authentic sound experience.
