Our Townus series - timelessly elegant
Our brand new loudspeaker series Townus: created for the urban lifestyle - from the heart of the Taunus. We proudly present the "Townus", with which we would like to appeal to all people for whom timeless design and high-quality appeal are important. In reference to the roots and the location of our company headquarters, in the middle of the Hessian Taunus, we have created the same sounding name Townus for the new speaker models. The newly created Townus series impresses with its timeless, elegant design and its high-quality materials - ideal for urban people who value design and quality. In the word creation Townus, we also refer to the connection of the modern and pulsating life in a city (English Town) and the rather quiet and rural Taunus, where the creators of this timeless and modern speaker series have their origin.
Clear design
Restrainedly elegant, with harmonious proportions and rounded cabinet edges, the Townus 50 2.5-way center speaker catches the eye. The elaborately finished surfaces and the screwless integration of the drivers into the baffle make the Townus 50 center speaker a gem in any living environment. Its rounded cabinet edges not only give the Townus 50 an elegant look - they also improve the center's sound dispersion. Flawless surfaces in silk-matt or high-gloss lacquers as well as precious real wood veneers with a perfect finish underline the premium claim of the new Townus speaker series. Further visual highlights are the high-quality aluminum rings of the loudspeaker chassis, which are manufactured using the steamless diamond-cut process, and the fabric panels, which are rounded at the corners and adhere magnetically to the baffles.
Always in the center
The Townus 50 bass-reflex center speaker features a timeless, elegant design and excellent sound characteristics that make it the focal point of a powerful home theater system. Powerful, deep bass, the balanced tuning and its great dynamics make it the perfect center - crystal clear dialogue reproduction included. The Townus 50 Center is equipped with high-quality technical components: Guarantors for the well-known good Canton sound and an enormously high reliability. Two 154 mm bass-midrange drivers with titanium cone, suspended in the long-stroke, low-distortion wave surrounds and a 25 mm tweeter dome made of aluminum oxide ceramic with precisely calculated waveguide provide ideal sound dispersion up to 40,000 hertz.
A strong team
You can expand the Center Townus 50 with other models from the Townus series to a sound-strong multi-channel home theater system. Our flagship Townus 90 speakers serve as the main speakers, which you can combine with the Center Townus 50 presented here and the 2-way compact models Townus 30 as surround speakers. For depth and pressure in the bass, as well as an increase in overall dynamics, the subwoofer Townus Sub 12 is added. Here, the high power amplifier output and the 300 mm titanium subwoofer chassis ensure an impressive performance for movies and music. Ideally harmonized with our Townus speaker models is the smart electronics component Smart Amp 5.1, with which you can take off into the wireless world of music streaming. The Canton Smart Amp 5.1 effortlessly replaces a classic AV receiver and offers an incomparable variety of combinations and connections - with the best sound and minimal dimensions.
