The GLE Series speakers are technically convincing and visually appealing: thanks to these qualities, the attractive and versatile GLE models have been among the most popular speakers in Europe for many years. Now we have completely revised the successful GLE model range - both visually and technically. What has remained is the strong price-performance ratio and, of course, the convincingly good Canton sound. The smallest floorstanding speaker in the large model range with the strong price-performance ratio is called the GLE 70. Although the speaker with its moderate cabinet dimensions is visually restrained, it convinces with a dynamic and mature sound image. Three technically excellent loudspeaker drivers on the slim baffle share the acoustic work. The result is a unique Canton sound with deep bass, neutral midrange and detailed, finely resolved treble
Technology: Better than ever
Striving for the best sound means a lot of hard work and the use of the latest technology. The GLE speakers benefit from the constant progress we make in loudspeaker development, both visually and technically. First and foremost, we would like to mention our outstanding titanium drivers, which have been incorporated into the current GLE series. Two 174 mm titanium drivers in an optimally dimensioned bass reflex cabinet reproduce deep tones cleanly and powerfully. They are equipped with sturdy polycarbonate baskets, powerful magnet drives and the latest generation of triple-folded wave surrounds, which allow the speakers to perform very dynamically with minimal distortion: this is almost unique in this size and price class. The perfect complement comes in the form of our sophisticated and well-proven aluminium-manganese tweeter system with 25 mm dome: elaborate wave guides for ideal sound radiation and coupling and optimised crossovers enable reproduction up to 40,000 hertz.
Discreet appearance - powerful acoustics
The GLE 70 2.5-way loudspeakers have a modern and discreet design. Thanks to their harmonious proportions and the attractive cabinet versions in black decor or white decor, the compact floor-standing loudspeakers blend into any living ambience. The baffles of the GLE 70 are finished in matt black or satin white. A decorative feature of the current GLE series are the black fabric covers that are magnetically attached to the baffles. They are generously rounded at the corners, giving the floorstanding speakers an independent, attractive face. The well-proportioned GLE 70 bass-reflex floor-standing speakers are 19 centimetres slim, 95 centimetres high and 28 centimetres deep. Four feet integrated into the bottom of the cabinet ensure a firm footing on the floor.
